After completing the pre-licensing course, contact contact NIPR’s customer service number at 855-674-6477 and ask for the location and phone number of the nearest testing center, or if they offer an online testing option. Call the testing center to schedule your Life and Health Producer Exam, and ask if there is anything you should bring, such as a specific ID.
Fingerprinting (State & Federal)
Google your county of residence with “insurance license fingerprinting” to find your fingerprinting location (usually a sheriff’s office or courthouse). Instructions for setting an appointment or walking-in can usually be found on the website. You can even be fingerprinted before taking your exam!
Applying for Your State License (in most states)
1. Go to nipr.com and click “Apply for License”
2. Choose “Resident Licensing”
3. Select your State and click “Apply Here”
4. Select “Individual” and follow the instructions.
5. After applying, call NIPR every weekday to check on the status of your application- being a squeaky wheel helps speed up the process!
